Jazan Heritage Village

The Jazan Heritage Village is a blend of the past with the nobility of the present. The village stands proudly on the southern Jazan Corniche, embodying the cultural and civilizational diversity of the Jazan region. The history of the establishment of the heritage village dates back to 1429 AH, by order of Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Jazan region at the time.

AMSY was awarded the project and had begun to build the heritage village in its current location on the southern corniche of Jazan, on an area of 7,000 square meters, to gather within it all cultures, history, heritage, ideas, civilizations, even the mountains and hills of the cities and governorates of Jazan. The village offers its visitors a journey through time to the past of the Jazan region. Since entering the village gate, you will be greeted by the “Mountain House” with its three floors, stone construction and architecture suitable for the mountainous environment that defeated natural erosion factors. The heritage village focuses on showing the various cultural aspects of the Jazan region, the most important of which are folk arts and folklore. The heritage village is a true codification of the ancient residents of Jazan region who volunteered the natural resources of the environment to satisfy their needs.
